The main ministry of ‘Kids Life Ministries Foundation’ is Kids Life Children’s Home. Whilst the current site has permission to house 100 children the numbers are presently in the high seventies.

          Kids Life is a home for orphaned, abused, neglected and abandoned children. Many of these children come from the surrounding Hill Tribes, but there are also some children who are Thai nationals. In the past Kids Life Children’s Home has cared for babies but generally the age of the children ranges from 2 to 21 years.

          Under the guidance of Chanida (Kroo Daa) and Santisuk Thornvivorkul (Arjaan Jay), the Children’s Home operates as and considers itself a family. The children are taught to care and appreciate one another and there are a small team of dedicated staff who take on the roles of mums and dads. They seek to provide practical care, counsel and spiritual guidance for the children.

          A good work ethic is encouraged. The children help to ensure things run smoothly by assisting with daily chores. There are opportunities to develop new life skills by becoming involved in activities like raising fish, pigs and cows. The sense of a ‘family’ is encouraged as they help maintain their home, assist with the cooking, or become involved in the growing and harvesting of produce to eat.

          Education is valued; the children attend the local primary school, moving on to high schools in the area and can later opt to go to vocational colleges or university.

          Kids Life Children’s Home is a special place where the children are valued.  It is a home where many hurts are healed as the children are encouraged to grow in the knowledge and love of God.
